"Entertainment Sound Service" was founded by Chris Kepler in 1992 after having previously worked 17 years in the automotive mechanical business along with playing bass guitar in local bands for many years. Realizing the growing need for quality sound and light systems an Live Sound Reinforcement & Lighting Business was started.
A few years after the business began the phone book listing was changed to "Chris Kepler Audio Services". Most people around the area knew "Chris Kepler" rather than "Entertainment Sound Service" which still remains the legal business name today.
Due to the success and busy schedule with the business Chris Kepler has unfortunately not had the time to play in local bands at the present time. He continues to keep his chops up and play bass guitar on his own every day. He does say that if the right situation would come along he hopes to continue to play in local bands again.
Today, 27 years later still providing in house "club" sound and light systems in State College PA along with providing sound and lighting systems for other events, festivals, and bands. In 2009 the need for a "new retail sales division" was started focusing on "very good competitive pricing" and "good customer service before, during, & after the sale". This division continues to be successful.
The work ethic has always been: "put the customer first", "provide a good price", "give good customer support after the sale", "have return clients".
Along with Chris Kepler there are several local sub contractors professionally educated in audio that setup and operate the sound and light systems.
